4.6 lbs won the tourney this past weekend. We had a boat come in with 6.5 which included a 2lb fish but they were DQed because their fish were dead. A lot more fish caught than I expected. Nearly everyone had a stringer to weigh.

Most boats fished the FL canal and had more numbers but most were 1/2 lb fish. The few boats that fished Amarado had much bigger fish including a 1.9 lber and a 1.7 lb fish.

The next tourney will most probably be in August out of Stephensville or Henderson.

So if your fish are dead they do not count?

The rules were live fish so that guys that were fishing all week couldn't stock pile a few big ones to win the tourney. I had no doubt that these guys caught these fish that day but they had them on ice and rules are rules. I worked it out to kick in some cash and some gear so they won't go home empty handed.
