One is a Rem 700 and the other is a Tikka.

What kind of trigger is in the rem, the old or new xmark? I have an easy diagram of how to work the old 700 trig. also how to do the xmark too but you cant get as much out of the xmark as you can the older trigger

I have no idea what kind of trigger it has. It is a rem sendero.

how new is it? does the trigger itself have grooves cut in it or is it a smooth finish?

the xmark trigger has a great smooth crisp break to it, but as far as lightening it up, it falls very short of satisfactory. good trigger, just cant get much out of it

The trigger has groves in it. I have no idea how old it is. I bought it from Mikedatiger.

if it has grooves, thats the old trigger(better). I'll post a pic of the diagram, you can do it yourself. its simple. if you run into any problems just pm me and I can help you out. I had no idea what I was doing and I was done in about 5 minutes, 10 at the most.

just mess with the 2 front screws. you may need to mess with the back one, but I didn't need to. do the top one then the bottom. test your bolt NUMEROUS times afterwards. slamming it closed and bumping the stock on the floor and stuff to make sure the firing pin holds. just adjust it until the pin holds and has no slip then paint nail polish back over the threads. the trigger can go super light, but not safely. so you just have to keep making minor adjustments to get between light as possible and still safe.

it seems hard but it really isn't. if you shut the bolt and the firing pin slips then tighten the poundage a quarter turn or so. and then when you find where it holds, try it several times to make sure. try it using a snap cap too if you can.
