About to splurge on some new shoes for the truck and I'm leaning towards the Mickey Thompson MTZ or the **** Cepek Crusher. Anybody running these tires? Pros and cons??

Interco will never get another dime of my money. I had a 35x15x10 SSR radial split in half on me while doing 70 down the interstate. Never again.

I ran 'em for years with no problem. Everything from 35-44".

I also ran them for years from 35-38". The TSL's, TSL SX, and the SSR's until that one split wide open. That day, I vowed to never own another Super Swamper/Interco product again.

I got the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Radial's on my truck and I love 'em. I got 30K miles on 'em and they still look new, got a 50K mile warranty on 'em from the manufacturer. I think I paid $1200 for 'em last year. I have the ones in the first pic but my next set will be the bottom pic. They're both the Baja ATZ Radial but mine are the Radial Plus, they have that extra ridge that runs all around the center of the tire.

I used to have the **** Cepek all terrains. They were some good tires. Now I have BFG Mud Terrain KM2's. I won't buy anything else from now on. Ride great and will hold up for a long time. I have 25,000 on them and still look brand new. My buddy has some with 50,000 on them and they still in good shape. But they about $1500 for a set. Firestone Destination's are also a good tire.

I would go with the Mickey T's, those **** Cepek's just look like a show tire to me.

I think I've had either 5 or 6 sets and would have continued to get them but I wanted an all terrain tire since I started using my personal truck to drive all over kingdom come for work. I never had any kind of problem with the buckshots and neither did any of my friends that had them, we probably bought between 15 and 20 sets between 5 of us. As long as you rotate them at least every 6K miles they should be fine.

I got the nitto grapplers on a 20" rim. RIde is great water traction is great, but not real good for mud. (of course its a all terain and not a mud) but it doesnt clean very well when it is spinning. Got stuck several times at the levee this year. do have about 25k on em and still look good.

You don't buy a mud tire to look pretty & expect a good ride or even stay together at high speeds, have slung the lugs off a few buckshots. A true mud tire will never ride good, esp in cold weather. They will wear awful on the front no matter how much you rotate them. I've run 4wd farm trucks all my life. True mud tire are just for that, esp on a 3/4 & 1 ton. If it's for looks you're better off with a all terrain. True mud tire are the the nylon buckshots & coop's. I've got a set of mastercraft courisor c/t all terrain on my 3/4 ton with about 30k on them & have done really well.

I agree with that, I might buy 2 just for hunting season, I don't need them any other time.

my 2 cents.....All ran on Ford f150 4x4:

I ran the swamper thornbirds for a while.....junk!

I ran the BFG AT's.....put over 70k miles on them. Great all-round tires.

Switched to Firestone Destination AT's after because of better price. Also a great tire but never fully tested it.

New truck has the Perrili Scorpions ATR's.....I'm gonna switch back to BFG's after I run these stock tires down.

Out of your 2, I'd go with Mickey T's over the other.

I've got the hookup on wheels & tires. You can go to http://www.wheelpros.com/ to look @ specific wheels/tires. They have a bunch of wheels & they sell 4 brands of tires. Falken, Nitto, Pirelli & Sumitomo. PM me for a price. I'll save you a bunch of money.
