What kind of leaders should we use? Single or Multi-strand? How Long should the leader be?

I like multi strand. More flexible.
No mono or floro when trolling for fishing for toofed fish.
I like to use the length of the fish you are looking for as the length of the leader.
Long fish can swat the mono line several times and break it off.

When fishing offshore.......always keep one pole rigged up with a leader ready for a Wahoo when it swims by. Learned that [the hard way] when fishing the lump a few years ago. A 60+ lb Wahoo came up by the boat while we were chumming for Tuna and were not ready.

One more question, what should we set the drag of the reels @? Shimano TLD 50's?

Just like you would for any trolling! As long as the speed of the boat does not pull line of the spool, you are good, because once they hit it, they are pulling it off anyway!!!!! LOL!!!

Also, if you truly want to target Wahoo, make sure to "bump" up your trolling speed! They like it fast!!!!

If you're trolling lures use heavy mono in front of lure then a heavy swivel and cable on the hooks. Ballyhoo use single strand. I have my tld 50 strike set at 12lb and max at 20 with 60lb mono. Supposedly braid will snap from the sudden impact when trolling but my dad caught a marlin a couple weeks ago with braid.
