Man, oh man!!!

It was a slow morning out in the marsh with very few ducks wanting to commit after the sun shed some light on the day but we managed a few ducks right at shooting time. It got to be really slow til about 8 when we were talking about leaving and i tell my cousin to get down there's some snow geese flying really low about 200 yards out in front....we get down......the only goose call i have is my Haydels speck call so i grab it and use it as a snow call(which sounds really good by the way) and they turn our way but with no goose decoys we were doubtful on them even coming close. After the second circle of the blind they presented a shot.....3 shots later i got 1 he has the other!!!!! He has never killed a banded bird in all his years of hunting and in one morning....he has 2!!!! A neck and a leg band!!!!!

Not trying to be a smartarse but, what does the bands due to enhance this? Is it like a tagged red? Do you get to call and see where it was banded and track it's patterns?

I really don't know so, someone help me out on this, please.

Pretty bird, btw!

Yes. You see where it was banded.

It is a very special thing to kill a banded bird because it doesn't happen often. I've been duck hunting heavily for 7 years and only killed 1

D, correct me if I am wrong but I don't think they are still doing neck bands. Neck bands make it so easy for people pick them out from the road with a 22.
MB, let us know where and when that Ross was banded. Has he called it in yet?

Thanks guy. In my first post it says my cousin killed the bird....so i can't take credit for it....just showing his bird off for him. Yes he called in the # as soon as we walked back in the blind. They are sending the paperwork.
