How good of a boat are Blazer Bays? I've read many posts on the internet where people love their boats-- especially the rolled gunnel versions (1860,2170).

I only have 24.5 ft to work with for the boat to fit in my shed. 21.5ft long boat will not fit unless I have the fold away tongue. I don't know if I trust a fold away tongue while towing it. I'm looking at the 1950 (rolled edge that would have to be custom built), 1960 (linear) or 2170 (rolled edge; would have to have a fold away tongue).

good boats, they splashed pathfinder's hull design which i don't agree was the right thing to do as far as ethics go.... But.....it is a good boat no doubt

Figured they copied something off Pathfinder since the two boats look very similar.

What attracted me to the BB is the lifetime warranty (hull, transom, stringers) which is backed by a family owned buiness out of Pensacola, FL. Also, they are supposed to run well in a Big Lake chop.

I have a 22 Fisherman. Love the boat. Another model you can look at is the 2020. It's the 2200 Fisherman front deck with the 1960 rear deck. A friend of mine has the 2020 and it's pretty sweet. He runs close to 60 with a 200hp on the back.

if I got one i would have them hold the rails along the gunwales

the 2170 is the boat to go with for sure, better resale by far b/c of length/ride

get breakaway tongue

The thing I don't like about the 2020 is the hull/deadrise is different from the 1960, 2170 etc. It is swallower.

I have a Cobia, which has the same hull as the Pathfinder also. But the fiberglass lay-up is different than the Pathfinder so the hull is a little thicker on the Cobia. But the Pathfinder draws 1 inch less water than the Cobia.

Anyone out there have experience with the smaller Blazer Bays like the 1860, 1950 or 1960? Any help is appreciated!

My brother-in-law has a 19 bb rolled edge an he loves it it is an older boat but it is still a very good boat...one of the better built roled edge boats i have seen.
