iPhone is old school. It doesn't even compare to Android anymore, including their brand new model released this week. That's why Droid has 2x the market share of iPhone, a complete reversal from a year ago. ;)

This is what i hear from most who went from an iphone to an android. Seems like they just want to rebel against the iphone only to find out that the grass isnt greener on the other side.

iPhone = Success

Droid = Failure

iPhone is great for non-tech savvy folks. Set it up once and never worry about it again. My wife and mother both love theirs. I would have to hang myself if I were limited to what the iPhone can do and its God-awful slow performance and 3G speeds. 4G is over 6x faster and I'm in 4G all the time where I work and most of the time at home. I'm sure iPhone will catch up in regards to technology when they come out with the next model in a year or two. By then Droid will be even further ahead, though. The "new" voice features Apple will have on its 4S have been available on Droid for over a year, and I use it regularly. Y'all will love it when it is finally available on your phones. :D

Catch - Do a Google search for "Droid iPhone market share".

Blah Blah Blah! . . . . . Naw all BS aside i have messed with a droid a few times and they are pretty sweet but like you said . . . I love the simplicity of the iPhone and the features it does have, plus no viruses ill stick with apple

Yep, you're right - They have twice the market but it looks like they're taking it from BB. Not the iPhone.

CHART OF THE DAY: Android's Share Of New Smartphone Purchases Is Twice As Big As The iPhone

Jay Yarow (http://www.businessinsider.com/author/jay-yarow) | Sep. 27, 2011, 4:23 PM
New smartphone (http://www.businessinsider.com/chart-of-the-day-android-vs-ios-2011-9#) buyers are overwhelmingly choosing Android (http://www.businessinsider.com/blackboard/android) phones in comparison to iPhones and BlackBerrys, new data from Nielsen reveals (http://blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/online_mobile/in-u-s-market-new-smartphone-buyers-increasingly-embracing-android/).

Below you can see Nielsen's subscriber share (http://www.businessinsider.com/chart-of-the-day-android-vs-ios-2011-9#) numbers. On the left are the total subscriber share numbers. On the right is the subscriber share numbers for the three months ended in August, which is a better predictor of the future of the market.
As you can see, in the three month period 56% of buyers opted for Android, versus just 28% for Apple (http://www.businessinsider.com/blackboard/apple). Rough for Apple, but if there's a positive (http://www.businessinsider.com/chart-of-the-day-android-vs-ios-2011-9#) in there, it's that Apple's subscriber share is holding steady while Android eats up BlackBerry (http://www.businessinsider.com/blackboard/blackberry) share and share from "other".
But, with the iPhone (http://www.businessinsider.com/blackboard/iphone) hitting Verizon (http://www.businessinsider.com/blackboard/verizon), we thought Apple would be in better shape in the U.S. Maybe once the iPhone 5 (http://www.businessinsider.com/blackboard/iphone-5) arrives, we'll see a tilt? Or, maybe Android keeps running away with this thing.

I was going to get an iPhone but I found windows phone 7. I haven't found another phone operating system as fast and smooth. It's still young but I think in the years to come it's going to be pretty popular.

Not sure on the iPhone but when you are posting a reply, there should be a "more" button and it will ask where you want to upload from. This is how it is on Android.

I just read on another site AT&T had over 200,000 preorders for the 4S in the first 12 hours alone. That's not including Verizon and Sprint. The article said preorders for the 4 were 600,000 worldwide in the first 24 hours. Pretty impressive in my opinion.

Sprint will likely have even more, since they are the only ones to offer an unlimited data plan. ;) Sprint has invested heavily in the success of iPhone. They are either going to triple their number of subscribers or go bankrupt, all depending on the iPhone.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Sprint. If they offered better coverage here I would probably switch. Either way Apple is going to make a killing.
