its almost here! sept.12-27 baby! wohhooo!got the deeks ready, dog ready,spots ready so now its time to bust em!


anyone going to do some teal hunting?? if so where at?

im soo ready to hunt..me and Beaux (my dog)..went scouting this evening..in Manchac..saw some big ducks..mainly went to brush a couple blinds...and throw some new deeks out...i cant sleep at night sometimes thinking about it..

Dude i'm the same way! night before hunts i cant sleep..i want to just get up get dressed and get out there!!

Ill be hutnin in elton alot of birds in the fields! Cant wait just got back from the duck festival all weekend!!!! Had a blast

yepp when i hunt public landim usually out there at midnight..just outta sheer excitement...and trying to get a good spot..

going to scout this weekend (go in the morning and watch them, go in the evening to watch) i keep reminding myself though..regular duck season is still a good ways away :cry:

yep a long ways..teal season is just to tease us...it suxxx....but its better than nothing..

it would be REAL NICE if they included wood ducks to the early season bag limit (early season= teal season)


like you said they just tease us and get us pumped up :cry:

and mottle ducks and Pintail when they come down. I like to mess with them and see how close we can make them land

yep mottled ducks are alot more sketchy over here..but we were deff filthy with Pintails...i like to see how close we can get spoonies to come in..

Hope you don't wear those for teal season Fool, cuz if you do you'll need alot of baby powder afterward.

I was fine just reading the posts and I was not getting overly excited until Redspeck82 posted that picture of them teal...that is a good picture of them drakes...so thanks redspeck for posting that is really helped.:spineyes:

no, luckily, i was able to fix my waders last week instead of buying a new pair. but it had 2 quarter sized holes and i still have a scar

I was fine just reading the posts and I was not getting overly excited until Redspeck82 posted that picture of them teal...that is a good picture of them drakes...so thanks redspeck for posting that is really helped.:spineyes:

ill be in pecan island hopefully slaying them, and during the week when i dont have time to go down there, i got a place right outside opelousas that we do really well for teal. and i go through at least 2 pairs of waders a year sometimes even 3 so i always go with the cheapest pair cause it dont matter how expensive they are, they all rip and get cut just as easy. long as they neoprene ill take em

Just renewed the duck lease with my uncle. Going this tomorrow or WED to get it ready for TEAL SEASON.
