Hey Guys: Here are the results of Week 18 of the Wednesday Afternoon Fishing Dogfights.
The start of Week Nineteen's tournament was right on schedule on this beautiful day. The fishermen voted to end the tournament at 8:15 pm. Below are the results of week 19:
1st Place Team was the duo of Troy Tate & Paul Frilot with a outstanding 5 fish limit that weighed in at 8.16 pounds. Their stringer was anchored by Troy's Big Bass of the tournament a nice 3.77 pounder. Troy won Wendi's Flower Cart Dozen Roses for catching the Big Bass. They caught their bass of the tournament on chug bugs on the main River. They reported catching around 20 bass in the 3 hour 30 minute tournament. They were the highest placing team with a Toyota Truck and was awarded $100 Toyota Bonus Cash from Lake Charles Toyota. Their total earnings of the night was $424.
2nd Place Team was awardedto Mark Forrester & Daniel Forrester for their 5 fish limit that weighed 6.29 pounds. They had a respectable stringer anchored with their biggest fish a 1.45 pounder. They caught around 15 fish in the West Fork on buzzbaits. For their effort they were awarded $84. They qualified for the Championship in September where in that Championship Tournament the highest placing team trailering their boat to and from the landing with a Toyota Truck or SUV they will win a one day guided fishing trip with Joe Joslin on Toledo Bend from Joe Joslin Outdoors and Lake Charles Toyota.
3rd Place Team was Ricky Cunningham & Matt West with a 5 fish stringer that weighed 5.72 pounds. Their stringer was anchored with a 1.71 pounder. They captured most of their fish on plastic lures in the West Fork.
2nd Place Big Bass was captured on a chug bug by Brandon Grabert and netted by his fishing buddy Trent Lawrence which earned them $25 from the Wendi's Flower Cart Bonus Cash. Brandon's fish weighed 3.35 pounds.
The contestants were treated to door prizes from Lake Charles Tackle and Seven-O-Electric. This upcoming week remember if you purchase anything from Parkside Marina ask them for a receipt then write your name on the back of the receipt and drop it in the container marked Parkside Drawing. From those receipts we will draw for a 6 pack of your choice at the end of the tournament. Steve "River Legend" Goff was the lucky 6 pack recipient this week.
