Looks like alot of opinions on here about braid vs mono. Do any of ya'll use both. If so how do you spool your rods. half mono for some bait and braid for others?

I have rods with braid, mono, and fluorocarbon. Only one with braid and that's my flounder rig. No breaking flounder off on hook sets and retying after catching 2 or 3.

Braid and mono. Mono backing on all. Fluororcarbon leader most of the time.

I use 20-30lb floro leader on all but my topwater rod. I try to hang on to them $8 baits so I tie braid straight to the bait. I tie about 4' leaders on with an albright knot.

All of the above, just depends on the fishing trip. And like Capt. Trey all have Flourocarbon leader except for the topwater.

Fins windtamer on all my rigs. Spool line tight on the spool and no worries I tie directly to spool which I covered in tape

X2 on the tape. I do a thin strip of electrical tape on my spinning reels. I want to put some on my baitcast but the last two times it dug in the spool and kept hanging up and flinging my bait off.
