Our new pool was finally completed a few weeks ago but now it is to cold for us to swim and I can't justify the $$$ to heat it but here it is:

I wouldnt heat it... we did it for one winter and hardly used it... wasnt worth the $$$$. more of a hassle than anything to keep it clean. cold before you got in... then ahhh.... then freezing when you get out.

As long as the HOT TUB is working your good to go, that is worth the $$$$ to heat, very nice pool.

Great looking pool, congratulations! I've got the same problem but my pools 2 years old. I believe if I put in a heater I can get maybe 4 extra months usage. Even in May when it gets hot, the pool water is waaaaay too cold for me. In Sept. and October as we all know we have our share of hot days but again after a couple of cool spells the water is too cold to enjoy. I believe I'll be installing a heater. Good luck and hope it works out for ya.

Im sure all the little chickens will enjoy that... get the heater and a pool cover you wont lose as much heat. You dont always have to run the heater either

we have a wittle "fish" that is foam and it disolves in the pool over time it puts a thin unnoticable layer of oil on top of the water and acts a a radiant cover ...just a thought. this is what we use when we are at the home in florida when we leave we put the big floating cover on it
