Looking for a used bayboat and this one looks like it would fit my needs along with budget. 200 vmax, lenco TT's but no trollingmotor or charger.
I am going to call tomorrow and ask for more picks and hrs on engine. I also believe that this boat is over priced for the year mod, what do ya'll think? Lets hear it.

22' Pathfinder 22 PC

Year: 1999
Current Price: US$ 15,995

in 2003 pathfinder made huge improvements to the 2200 hull, i would not buy one older than that unless it was a steal, that price seems fair but remember this IS a 10 year old hull.

check out pathfinder boats owners website and look at the boats for sale section of it to compare

NADA guides has boat values on the net nadaguides.com?? You gotta input data for boat, motro and trailer seperately to get total value tho. Kinda of pain. Also depends on what options are included. If ya plannin on financing call the bank and they will normally tell you what they'll loan on. Price does seem a bit hi to me but depending on options??.. Good luck.. SK

NADA guide says $11,000.00 for all 1999 gear. Going to call dealership in AM to discuss price. Bruce how much difference is there in the hull changes? Never owned a bayboat before and have no idea if this would make a huge difference in my decision. I am looking to get the most bang for my limited budget at the moment.

i will find out and let you know

also consider this is a galvanized trailer, no trolling motor or charger which could run you 1200 bucks easy.

pathfinders hold resale better than a lot of other boats, and the 22 is the most desired model. this hull is kinda the honda accord of bay boats.

Also noticed the trailer looks like a single axle. With a 22 fter, I would prefer a double axle. May be able to negotiate with that as well.Good luck...SK

SK, trailer is tandem galvanized but my problem is there is not much that comes with this boat other than a radio and trim tabs for the money. What does Pathfinder consider a tunnel hull, since all I have been looking at have atleast a pocket tunnel???

Actually, I think the majority of the changes were made in 01". The first boat you posted prolly does have dual axle trailer. The pathys hold their value really well. Alot will have to do with the hrs. on the motor on the first boat you posted. This last one though, has plenty of extras. I have a 2002 model with 200 hpdi. and I love this boat. Probably the best thing to do is get on the pathfinder site and post a question on the forum and see what everybody thinks is a fair price for this boat. Ive been a member there since 2002. Alot of good people on there including boat riggers who can tell you alot about any of the models. You can learn a bunch from just viewing the old posts too. Let me know if you have any questions about the 2200s,Ive been married to mine for 7 years now.lol

Depending on what kinda water your fishing mostly, but Ive never needed anything shallower running than what I have. The 2200 will only draft about 11"' of water. Hull weight is only around 1300 lbs. gotten mine on plane in less than 2' of water w/o jackplate. very shallow running boat, but on the other hand, can take some good sized waves too.

all pathfinders have a pocket in the transom, but this is different from a tunnel, the tunnel is pointless unless it's on a shallow sport type hull.

mbc had a online boat show last year, they had some leftover 08 model 2200V's with 150's for like 27000 brand new, just something to keep in mind before paying 25 for a used one.

That price diffenatly seems high. I will tell you this though, since I have been guiding I have ran 2 different 22ft pathfinders for a couple years and in my opinion after running every other boat out there, pathfinder is probably one of the roughest riding 22ft boats on the market. The hull is just way to light for a 22ft boat. There is a few good things about them, its the driest riding boat out there and they will float in extremly shallow water. But they tend to get a lot of stress cracks and are absolutely horrible in rough water.

Boat is on consignment and seller is stuck on his price right now.
I will give it a few months and try again but I did tell the dealership
salesman that $13,000 was the most I could go on a 99 mod.

try checking out some Nautic Stars.. We have a small 1910 and I find it rides better than some 22ft boats.. Also its a super dry ride i find. We rarely get wet and its real smooth riding. It has to be pretty frikin rough to get splashed or a bad side chop.. I think they are a lot that are decently priced also. In my opinion with most of the high class boats like the skeeters and rangers and what not. Your most likely paying for the name(not saying they are bad boats) but in the near future i think nautic star will develop a name for itself, because we've been seeing more and more of them.

You are right about the Nautic's dry ride, I am running a friends now and really like it. My preference is Blazer Bay and the Pathfinder is basically the same hull. I just preferre the look of the BB/P boats, no different than trucks.

I would have to agree about the nautic star, best riding boat on the market for the money.
