With all the rain and wind we have been having we found a window to get a trip in. I decked for captain Lee on his Americat. The ride down the river was cool and we were almost an hour ahead of the others just to get first wahoo bite.

Our efforts were good intended but the water was dirty and no signs of clean water below. After a disapionting hour the fleet starts showing up and after 4 rigs without anything we head for 143 and the lump. Capt hunter was already on 143 with the same results we found inside so we just went to the lump and set up shop. We were there a little after 8:00. As the morning went by we were starting to stink like we had not bathed in a month.Around 10:15 we start getting some action but it is not what we want. The sharks came in with the bonito. We picked up a blackfin but the next 2 came in like this.

We also got an amberjack but the morning was still non-productive. We gave up with 1 blackfin and 1 amberjack to show for the whole morning. We went looking for more amberjack. We picked up 2 more and several sharks. Back to the lump to see if things had changed and it did. We found some clear water pushing in. We started marking fish and the gamewas on. Itwas a constant mix of blackfin and bonito with the preditor sharks still looking for food. To our joy a few small but legal yellowfin came aboard. We did loose one good yellowfin that broke off before we could get the other lines in so we could chase it. We came in with a decent box afterall.

3 yellowfin, 4 amberjack, and 8 blackfin. We donated about 60 hooks, tuna and aj sizes, and a half dozen big amberjack sinkers. Last shot flurry saved our day.
