The golf tournament is this Saturday at the Alexandria country club. If anyone is attending this I will be on one of the holes on a cooking team doing fried catfish. If you are in the area and are not golfing come out for the live and silent auction. There are some great items going up for bid. This charity foundation was created in memory of a lost friend and benefits lots of different things including St. Judes, college scholarships, and family adoptions for thanksgiving and christmas. here is a write up on it below. See yall there!

This Foundation was created in 2010 to honor the life and memory
of Robert David Abrusley Jr. His love of people and charitable
heart continues on through this Foundation and its work.

Last year, with your gracious help, we were able to raise over
$80,000 at our annual David Abrusley Memorial Golf Tournament!
How AMAZING is that! Throughout the year we were
able to use this money to help families all across the country with
the main focus being right in the heart of our home in Central
Louisiana.

The Foundation donated $28,000 to the St. Jude Childrens Research
Hospital which was one of David's favorite charities. This
money helped children that could otherwise not afford
treatment, get the treatment that they so needed and desired to
have a chance at life.

In May 2012, scholarships totaling $13,000 were given to local
area students to help with college tuition.

During Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Foundation was able
to help families in our community have a big
Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner with their children and sit
around on Christmas morning to open presents that they
otherwise would not have been able to do.
