Nice rig, well thought out.
Its the biggest fishing 21 ft boat that I know of.

I have one....pm me for my cell and I'll give you all the info I can on it.

I love it, roomy, comfy, well laid out, family friendly, very fishy.....the only drawback is that I let the dealer talk me into the 150 instead of the 200.

It is fast, but could be much faster with 200. Talked with Bill Kenner at last boat show and he said the boat with the 200 opti pro x/s would did 63 with 2 people. I've hit 53 by myself.

About how much one like that would go for?

63 mph with 5 gallons of gas, one person, and downwind with a racing prop

I agree.....Not as mush differecne as you think between a 150 and 200 HP. Maybe 4-6 miles per hour top speed. BTW, I think they are very nice boats.

maybe.....but He said there were 2 of them in the boat.

Base price w 4 stroke yammy 150 is about $29,500 + tt&l for just boat, motor, and trailer. Depends on what all you add to it. Also another thing they just started doing to them as an extra upgrade is adding the blackjack center console. Little bigger and gives it a better look.

I guess once you add a troll motor and a few extras with tax you are looking at 35-37K. That is about the going price for a nice 21' foot bay boat. I bet their is not much of a price differecne between the Yamaha 150 4 stroke vs a 200 DI except for the upgrade on the hydraulic steering from Baystar to Seastar. I would assume this boat has a self-bailing hull???

I have an 18ft Nautic Star with a 90 Yammy and my big debate right now is should I get a bigger boat. Let me say that I absolutely love my Nautic Star, but it's just small, especially trying to fish 3 people - not impossible, but everyone dang sure has to know how to cast. Just boat is small.

If I get a bigger boat would just like to try a different brand... I could care less about speed. 40mph is plenty fast enough for me. Just want a well laid out boat that is comfortable enough to fish 3 and occasionally take the family -for that once a year outing...

Then I would think a Frontier would be perfect for you.

I have a friend that has one with a 115 but I'm not sure of the length. AWESOME boat with a great ride. No speed demon but well made with a dry soft ride.

So I call to get a price quote on the Frontier and ask for 2 quotes - one with a 150 yammy and one with a 200 yammy. The salesman proceeds to tell me that the 200 is a piece of junk and that they have never sold one with anything but a 150.

what gives - too lazy to swap motors or must be incentivized to push what they have??

I got to fish in one when we went out of Biloxi and fished the marsh islands. It was windy and rough. The boat handles it well, and I was impressed with the ride, only got alittle spray now and then.

Nice boat overall.

There was also a Blackjack with us but I did not get to fish out of it.

We used to have a 1990 21 Kenner, built by the Kenner bro. It was the modified V ran it for 17 years. My nephew has it now.

They build long lasting solid boats.

Unless you want to race to the weirs or in a bass tournament the 150 Yamaha 4 Stroke is all you need. Also, you will be buying the best motor on the market!

Hey Mike....

The dealer is right and This is why I have the F150. After doing more research, the yamaha 200 4 stroke is not that great of a motor. Their 150 and 225 are great, but for whatever reason, the 200 isn't up to par.

If you want a 200, you need to go 2 stroke with either the optimax or the hpdi.
