It started as a ugly ol' propane tank and, through this guess and, that idea, it's become what is likely my favorite toy!

Very nice! Now that is reusing items that most people disregard. Great work.

Yes, it's 4 basket fryer. I've still got to plumb everything into the fryer and, the smoker. I also have a sink and, some cabinets that will be loaded soon. I just couldn't wait any longer to use it!:help::rotfl:

Your cut outs look like you used a track but that would be almost impossible. Very clean lines Corey.

I need to repaint my pit, what paint do you suggest?

I've been cooking on it for a while now. I'm just in the transition process to a new trailer and, such. That said, it cooks great! Pegged out, it'll hold 120 lb of leg quarters. That's what we cooked for a Little Angels Foundation charity event a while back.

Mad skills Corey!!
Thanks man. It really has been fun building this thing!

That was all layout and, freehand torch cuts. I started with a cutoff wheel and, that lasted like no time at all before I was tired of burning up blades!

Metacryl. It's industrial stuff and, pretty tough. My vendor has a store in Kenner and, sells it there. Good stuff!

Man there is something great about a good pit. I love it when you can walk by them and smell the smoke.
I really like the sliding racks you have. That is a sweet set up. 120 on the quarters is awesome.
You feed it wood or charcoal? Mixter?

That's a sweet pit. If there is room for more racks you could increase that 120#s to 200 to 250#s of chicken. Is it wood with gas assist.

All wood burning. I think I'll run this setup through '14 and, hopefully kick off '15 with a new rig. I've been looking at a few different setups here lately that have my attention. Ya never know what'll happen though! LOL!

Come on over!

As for the child labor...Isn't that why we have them?!:work:

If it's still running in my possession, I may pass by the SC Tourney this year with it!

If you got any big cooks planned this Spring for a charity function, etc..... Give me some notice and if I'm off, I will be there.... It's a lot of work but great when everyone on the team knows what they are doing.

Again, nice looking rig. I'm jealous.

This whole thing was basically built for charity functions and, personal entertainment. I may have a bit of a complex...I suffer from "So, you think that's a big rig?!" syndrome! LOL! Really, I'm not much on competitive cooking or competitive anything. I gauge my food quality on the smiles, compliments and, quiet tables!

April 6 this year should be a pretty big one for us. We'll likely be cooking for a car show for The Little Angels Foundation. Eman, my go-to-guy for cooking, will be out of town that weekend. I'll know soon if we're cooking and, let you know.

This trailer is 7'x18' and, a bumper pull. I'm actually waiting to see "the right deal" and, I'll own a 27-30' gooseneck to build on. I have some plans for a cooler, hot box and, taps that would make it the ultimate throwdown rig! Hopefully, when the right deal comes along, I've got the $$ for it....I'm gonna need more property! I'm out of room for all the trailers I own now! LOL

If someone or someones can help Corey w/ the little angels cook in April It would be great. Wife and i are already committed to cooking cajun food at the Smoking meat forums gathering in Fla, that weekend.
It really takes at least 2 folks to run that much food thru that smoker w/o killing your self.
