Im looking to put a nice spotlight on the front of my boat. Does anyone know if there is a good 24 volt light that I can rig up to plug into my 24 volt trolling motor plug?

I do not know how much you want to spend but I am going to add this light to the front of my rig. It is called a Golight and it comes with a wireless remote control. They also have a model that comes on a post that will plug directly into your front running light. I have a couple of friends that have them. The one to get is the HID model which is modified by a different company. I posted links for both of them.

Im just wondering how much bumping and rattling the bulb can take. I know it doesnt take much to make a halogen go out. I really wouldnt need the remote control stuff, since I usually wear a spotlight on a hat to look around with.

One of the guys I know have it on the front of a 22lts triton. I have followed him out a few mornings in solid 1-2's on galveston bay and he had no mercy on the throttle. I would say they are designed to take a beating. He has the model that is plugs into the front running light. The one with the magnet would be ideal for your rig. They also sell the HID version on ebay and it shows a comparison of the halogen and HID. The HID is one bad ace light.

this might be a dumb question, but will that magnet stick to aluminum? I did look at the hid,I love alot of light, just not sure if I need quite that much going through the woods to justify that price difference.

just found the magnetic base plate to mount to the boat to accept the magnet.
