FISHERMAN’S
PRAYER
Our Heavenly Father, We want to thank you for this
day to fish another day, We want to thank you for the
days that you have given us throughout our lives to fish,
We want to thank you for our health to be able to get
out in your great outdoors, To be able to glory at all your
wonders and beauty of this earth, For all the clean clear
waters that cover this earth, Father we really, really want
to thank you for these fish you have given us to try to
catch. Sometimes we have to catch them by the “sweat
of the Brow” but your word tells us that we must do this.
Father I know we are not to question you on anything
but why are these fish so smart and hard to catch?
Father our prayer is that during our lifetime if it be your
will that you would let us catch the BIG one, the one that
gets hung on the wall, not in the skillet. We pray for a
boat any size will do just so long as it will run better than
all the other boats do. We pray for the weather to always
be good when we go fishing. Not too hot nor too
cold, Neither too dry nor too wet, Water not too clear
nor too muddy, Always let us use the right bait, Let us
always have 10 or 15 rods and reels to fish with, Let our
wives never fuss at us for fishing so much, Never let us
come home empty handed. Let us be able to fish a full
life maybe until we are 100 years old would be nice.
Always give us patience to fish and never demand anything
“right now” just a bite every cast would be ok
though. Father it would be nice if you made Sundays a
day that the fish all quit biting so all the fishermen could
come to Church. Father most of all I pray sincerely and
most of all you always make me a Fisher of Men and be
able to talk to them and let them always see me as a
person that Loves My Lord. In JESUS name we Pray,
