Any one shot one? How do you like them compared to .243

Anyone know where you can get one? Went to Academy today, but nothing.

You can buy online. They will lead you through the process.

If you go to any gun store, they can get you one, if they are not in stock.
I like buying stuff like that from a brick and mortar store.

Yeah, I agree. They don't send the gun/rifle to your house or business. You will need to pick up the weapon at a licensed gun shop(They help you locate the proper shop near you). You can get better deals online.

My Dad has one that he uses in Colorado for prairie dog hunting. A very fast, flat, and accurate cartridge out to 800+ yards. My longest shot was 400 yards with my Dads zero, his is around 600, both were prairie dogs. Over all versatility is not its strong point - I do not think think that I would use it for anything other than varmits. Have tried factory ammo but this particular rifle prefers specific combinations from handloads. There are some good deals on the gun broker sites, and I am getting set to order mine from E.R Shaw - a custom gun maker that starts at around $650.

We had a guy at our lease that would deer hunt with one like that when he first started. He killed quite a few deer with it.

great gun, will take deer with no problem with well placed shots

check out CDNN sports for a rifle, have it shipped to your local FFL

can take a deer down but has a very small and fast lead... if you hit any kind of brush or sticks the bullet just disenigrates.... not recomended for a deer rifle unless your shooting in an open field or lane... but a good gun. you can find them at gun stores. Academy can order you one. also ammo is kind of hard to find and can sometimes be a little expensive. i almost bought a ruger 22- 250 but decided on a remmington .243... real great gun 1 inch grouping at 200 yards very powerful for its caliber.
