Well my charger has gone out on me:pissed: so i need a new one. So I am looking for suggestions... I need a three bank 10 or 15 amp. I have heard good things about dual-pro, any others I should look at. The one that burnt up is a Minnkota and Im not against them either... What do you have? And do you like it?

I had a minn kota. It went out. They can't be worked on either:pissed:. I have a skeeter brand but it's made by dual pro. It's a '01 charger (9 yrs old). Still going! Won't go with anything other from now on.

My boat came with a Guest automatic charger. It seems to be working good so far.
It puts out 5 amps to one and 5 amps to the other, or 10 amps at 24 volts.

On my big boat, I have a Prosport battery charger that is many years old. It is a smart charger. It can put a total of 20 amps to any battery, not the 5/5 like the Guest. It can put 2 amps to one battery and up to 18 on the other. The charge floats depending on what each battery needs. It is one of the best small chargers made.

Either way, be sure to get a waterproof/explosion proof unit. Especially if you are fishing in salt water.

Not all do it. Some put a certain amps to the battery, not a floating charge.
Some charge both and one can get over charged.
Smart chargers are a little more costly, but worth the price.

I have the same brand on my boat...it is the model 2611, 10 amp, 2 bank since I have a 24v Troll motor. No issues with it plus I had the same set-up on my other boat without any issues.

Try Bass Pro Shop. Regardless of what brand you choose (I bought the Pro Mariner 3 bank) for an extra $20, buy the extended warranty. It covers beyond the product warranty yrs an extra couple of years. If you have a problem with it, send it back in whatever condition - dropped in water, burnt up, no receipt - they still replace it. No questions asked.

Dual Pro 4 bank onboard my Ranger. Just had warranty swapout done when one cell was acting up. Quick exchange service and no questions asked.
