Got my new rod just in time for the shootout. Didn't help much, but it is a pretty neat rod. This guy does good work.

Cool lookin rod, Duck. That second picture is making my eyes cross though...are the guides twisted around the rod?

The eyes are spiral wrapped micros. It is unbelievable how sensitive this rod is. You can get one. P.M. me if you're interested and I'll pass along the builder's info.

Charlie, I just got mine from Zach a few weeks ago. When I picked up mine he had the LSU blanks all painted and looking cool. Didn't know you got one. I also went with the spiral micro guides. It's fricking awesome, I got mine in black, with my company's logo and colors for wrapping thread. Way cool, and everyone at the office is jealous!

Z-rod. Why does everyone think that a rod is a billystix when it is spiral wrapped. I may be wrong, but I don't think billy started this. I can remember kistlers with this 20 years ago. Actually, the billystix website says that it was started in 1909 by a guy named Roberts

Mine is in the boat shed in Dularge, but I'll bring it back Sunday so you can put your hands on it Tim. Very, very light, mine has a very soft tip. I use it for fishing swim baits only and I feel every blade of grass or shell it touches. Pretty incredible. Too soft to fish anything heavy with like a speck rig or carolina rig, but that is just the type I wanted. I fish swim baits in Lake Decade during the winter months to hammer some hog trout, but their bite is very soft that time of the year. Makes a big difference.
