I have my 7 foot falcon rod and a cheap 6 foot 15 dollar shakespeare rod from walmart which is surprisingly an awsome rod. Is it better to use a 7 foot or a 6 foot rod in freshwater?

At my camp is nothing put cypress throughout the lake really no open water, I like a 5'6 - 6' there. Just depends on the territory.

i like my falcon because of its action, but the way i cast it may scrape the water
