I recently went and picked up a few reels for a friend of mine at work, and told Mr. Ardoin about the new website. I told him I would mention a little about his buisness in a post. This is the third time I have used Mr. Ardoin and I have been extremely pleased with the quality workmanship he has done on my reels and rods...Not only does he do great work but he is a very honest man and has great prices!! I want everyone to know about his shop that is located across from the school in Bell City. The name of the buisness is Cajun Reel Cleaning and Rod Repairs, the number is 337-622-3040.

He just started making custom rods as well........I talked with him the other day and he is a perfectionist so he is still working out the kinks on some of them, but the ones I felt were very nice!

I'd like to find out more about "supertuning"

this statement caught my attention........

"If you ever use a reel that has been super tuned, you will be sold on it for life."

have you reworked some of the high end shimano's???

I usually take mine apart, clean them, and then put all of my parts in a ziplock bag and dump it on wtretrievers desk and he hooks me up. LOL.

I took one apart one time and a spring went flyin' out so I took it to my buddy. He said don't bring me another reel in 1,000 pieces.

There are a few things that can be done to speed them up. The older reels seem to show a bigger difference every reel is different. What I do is try to take as much of the friction out as possible. When I clean your reel I always do some of this work that is what makes my work different. Your getting something extra. [ Lagniappe ]
