i really want to go this weekend, but the marsh will be a bust especially mine. Looks like i'll sleep in sunday and drink coffee and hang out with the family.

Yep ruddy ducks are everywhere. South Louisiana must have every ruddy in the flyway right now with all of this water.

Black jacks and ruddy's with a grey or two mixed in. We should have waited for better ducks because they came but you never know and I hate to pass them up.

Thanks, I have some decent spots on a south wind (and two that are bad on every wind, lol). I have to hunt in Texas on any north wind, north wind is the kiss of death for all of my spots other than my lease in Texas. The Texas lease is damn good on any wind. Very frustrating to get down to the camp in Hackberry and realize you will be looking at the empty sky on a north wind.

Lots of water yesterday and lots of birds. Fixing to leave my camp. Hopefully we have similar results.
