boatdriver 02-28-2011 09:35 PM

Bass. Lots more recognition all over the US, not just on the coast. Would be envied by millions!!!

Wackin n stakin 02-28-2011 09:40 PM

BASS!!

simplepeddler 02-28-2011 09:54 PM

Sac-a-lait

A world record bass today would reportedly be worth in excess of 1 million $$$. The trout would get you on a few magazine covers but that's about it. I don't know what the number is now for bass but I'm pretty sure the record trout is approaching 17.5 lbs.

I'd like to know what that guy who is the record holder for bass made signing autographs at the classic.

You're probably right, Ducky. Plus, he probably hasn't bought anything fishing-related since the catch.......including boats. Bass has forever and will forever be considered the most popular gamefish.

skinman 02-28-2011 10:19 PM

Trout. I'd take a picture, and then fillet that dude out...

Trout... cause i dont really bass fish so what am i gonna do with a lifetime supply of brush hogs, lizards, and flukes. I wouldnt say catching a big bass is really that hard compared to big trout. I bass fished for about two years pretty hard and I have a 9lb 8oz bass on my wall, been trout fishing my whole life and my personal best is only a 25" trout. I caught it when i was young so i didnt weigh it. Plus I enjoy trout fishing more

Apparently so.

The trout record has been broken several times in the past 79 years.

That big bass was made offical a few months back.

Officially it tied the old record.

Born2fish19 03-01-2011 03:35 AM

Definately the world record Bass. It would be more predictable for the world record spec to be caught here but not for the world record bass. You would think a world record bass would be caught in California, Florida, or Mexico.

LPfishnTIM 03-01-2011 05:51 AM

22lds a few oz. is the record for a Bass

mcjaredsandwich 03-01-2011 09:40 AM

Shoot I'd rather catch a 60# black drum on my ugly stick with my reel turned upside down.
