That makes all the sense in the world.

I used to have a signal everywhere......middle of v-bay, couldn't see land, my phone would ring........

Now, dog farts to loud, I lose service........

How you liking your Droid? Mine grows on me everyday. I found this Texas hold em app...lets you play real time online. Life is good

longsidelandry 05-08-2010 08:31 PM

My wife had AT&T and I have been with Nextel for around 7 years, she just recently swapped over to Nextel because she was tired of having dropped calls all the time and not having service in alot of the places that I did.

If I would switch to Sprint my wife and I could both have Droid phones with tons of minutes, unlimited text, unlimited web, and a bunch of other cool stuff... all for 60 bucks cheaper then what we pay with ATT. However, I am very skeptical about their coverage in my area.

I have Verizon...I like them

I had them and their coverage was much better then ATT. If I don't switch to spring I will probably end up back with them. However, their plans cost the same as ATT which sucks cause I wanted to save a few bucks so I could buy more Sand Eel Jrs

Ive been with Att/cingular since the days of the suitcase-bagphones. Ive never really had any problems with them till 3g came along. Lots of dropped calls now,and just sometimes some strange things that happen during a call.

adamsfence 05-08-2010 10:27 PM

Att is to high i ran out of minutes when i switched. switched back before my 30 days was up. the free incoming is a big plus for me

whunter29 05-09-2010 12:14 AM

Hey RD I am on AT@T and I had no signal up at the camp plus I have dead zones on 167. Plus while driving around I drop tons of calls. At@T sucks in my opinion.

Centennial in our area will soon be Verizon. Supposed to be in June when the switch is made. Hope our service stays the same or get better.

AT&T doesn't work in some of the businesses around Jennings and the hospital.

Pat it doesn't matter who you have service with up there. Unless you are up on THE hill, your phone won't work. Not at the camp site anyway. Some guys say they get service in their stands.

They did buy most of Centennial, but Verizon bought from west of Lake Charles to east of Lafayette and Eunice south.

i've heard the same thing about AT&T's network upgrades. i'm not too happy with their service here in Tejas.

flyphisher 05-10-2010 02:44 PM

I had ATT before, and no problems. Been with Verizon for the last 2 years, wife got a special via work as they have about 60 phones with Verizon. I've been happy with it. I always tell people to see which provider has the best coverage in the areas you frequent. About 4 years ago I had Alltell, if I went 15 miles north of my house, I was roaming and it would kill the battery searching for a signal in 2 hours. Did the same if I went to Houma, and FORGET about Grand Isle.
