But they make between 90 and 120 a year and claim it all. When I asked them why they didn't "Cheat" like the other ones they said what makes since. They need to be able to show income to buy boats every year and to live on. Nothing wrong with being honest and the way their CPA has them set up they really dont pay that much.

Something seems fishy! "maitness"

Yeah w. Can't deny the shrimpers have a tough job. It's not the same as working for the man and pulling a steady paycheck. But you already know all of this. You can stop with the minimizing of the spill thing, too. Every day we learn more and more about how full of crap bp is and how bad this thing is. Noone with common sense buys into the bull but you.

So being a shrimper give you the ok to cheat? Im can list a lot more jobs that should be able to cheat then a shrimper? I farmed from 1996-2001 and I showed all my income...I wrote off lots of things but my income was there.....WHY...Because if a hurricane whipped me out I had proof ...

BTW.......:shaking:

w you have no idea how much it cost to be in business. all them taxes u pay the company has to match. u cant tell me that u have never done something for someone for cash and not turned it in....now im not saying its right to hide everything. but if they can hide some off it then that is a chance they are taking

YES AND NO.......

I had my own crops just for a land owner........ So I filed my crops under my name and he filed his under his name........
I showed 300acres of rice and 175 of soybeans every year... (Soybeans only 2 years) Plus cows and feed

I leased all my equipment from him....which was a huge write off for me

this is all im saying dude and i will leave this alone. The taxes i have to pay for my company is unreal. I mean come on I have to pay a tax on all my tools, truck, any equipment everyyear. I have already paid one tax when i bought it and every year i have to pay a tax for the depreciated value of that tool. then you have workmans comp then match taxes, then the tax for the business (if an llc or inc.) then my income tax. (i know i am leaving some out) Plus you have to try to compete with the prices of the people that are just doing it illegal with out paying all this. and try to support your family. If they can cheat and get away with it good for them. with our gov wasting all the money they do on useless stuff. that is one less dollar they have to waste.

oh and i forgot i even work another job during the year and claim single and none just to help me pay for my taxes......So is this right i should have to work 2 jobs just to be in business

bioid 05-20-2010 10:09 PM

Corporate media lies to me? Really?
So does bp.
Man you have done a lot. You must be one of those Jack of all trades types.

When all you have done is work for someone else, you have no clue! Income taxes are one if the easiest parts to cover!

You guys are both right........ I know ecxaclty what you’re paying in taxes then to top it off with insurance...... I was going to buy two eighteen wheelers to haul oil and water ....Started doing the legal trail and it was plum stupid.......Then the liability on top of all that.....

It’s the American way!!It really doesn’t bother me if someone cheats and don’t pays tax.........It just bothers me when they have something like this and they want to sue for $200,000 when there Taxes showed $15,000...... This is my point...

southern151 05-20-2010 10:21 PM

I'm learning the ropes for myself at a breakneck pace! I guess I should have known watching both of my selfemployed parents but I had to learn on my own.
