Now trying to decide between the fisch and cabalito

SaltyShaw 04-22-2011 06:04 PM

I think the fisch may be the next pair I buy, I need to check out these cabiltos

yak'em-n-stack'em 04-22-2011 06:10 PM

Cabalitos are a smaller version of fisch.

They really block out everything. I think I have a big enough head for them too

SaltyShaw 04-22-2011 06:47 PM

I dont know about them Cabilitos its damn near the Black Fins but with out the grip, once you start sweating they going to be prown to sliding IMO.

Can speak for the fisch frames. I have a wide head and they fit well. 580s

yak'em-n-stack'em 04-22-2011 08:07 PM

Think I'm gonna go with the fisch 580 green mirror

yak'em-n-stack'em 04-22-2011 08:10 PM

Tortoise color

PathfinderNI 04-22-2011 09:56 PM

According to my Costa brochure, the Rincon model only comes with shiny black or tortoise frames. Perhaps you have a different model, or they've changed the frame colors for this year? I've got the tripletail in black with the cr-39 gray lenses. Went to Action Specialties this week and tried on quite a few pairs. Sometimes there can be too many choices! The silver teakwood is a really nice color on the Hammerheads, but the arms feel a bit too stiff for my taste and don't wrap around your head. The Fisch are nice but are really big. The Tag probably fit me the best out of the ones with the Hydrolite for gripping your face while sweating. The Brine were real light but only have the smaller silicon nose pads which don't grip your nose as well. Thought about getting a model with white frames for a different look, and the Caballito looks good, they just were a bit too snug and would probably give me some pain after several hours on the water. The silver frames look different but do look a bit cheap. Will probably go with the Tag's with tortoise frame in blue 580 mirror when I decide to pull the trigger!

Jordan bought me a pair of the brines for Christmas. They're the tortise withh the 400 green lenses. I love em.

Austin-Get the white framed costas like Pookie had @ Toledo last year!

mcjaredsandwich 04-23-2011 07:18 AM

If you have a big head/wide temple, Fisch for sure. I can wear them all day, along with my 7 3/4 fitted hat.

Yeah.
Sometimes I can't wear a fitted hat because they don't have my size. 7 3/4 is my usual

ditto.. But for some reason, the stringers fit me nicely, more so in the face/lenses then head, but super light and comfortable

Most places don't carry that large, my ex bought my hat online. The blue Texas Rangers hat. Can't miss me, I'm the only one in LC I've seen with the blue Texas hat.
