Dude

Get you some cucumbers, slice them and then FREEZE THEM. ALSO! VICKs under the eye works.

Precription meds ( ponacaine) spelling? is the best thing. You CAN'T get butnee- sulfate 2% any more.

I been fittin 12 years and the only time i have ever caught a flash is when I was helping a buddy build a ladder for his deer stand and didn't have on any safety glasses. I was told the heat from the arc is what gets you, it burns your cornea and make it feel like you have sand in your eyes. I always were my dark shield and put it down when my helper is tacking something up.

oh, the reason you can't put them pain reliever drops anymore is because if you get something in them you will not feel it, which is not a good thing.

I do the same kinda work and happened to me a
few times. They burn with eyes open and closed, light and dark.Feels like sand in your eyes scratching them.I used visine and it helped a little.I know rubbing them makes it worse.

Just keep em cool, wet rag with a couple ice cubes & time, time is hard when it feels like sand in your eyes. Should be over a day or so....just like mentioned above if it last more than 2 days go see a Dr. Your eyes are the quickest healing part of your body.

How are the eyes doing?

adamsfence 05-25-2011 08:43 PM

Much better tthey just very sensitive feel like they could burn again real easy

Barnaldo 05-25-2011 09:47 PM

I used to weld in barges at the shipyard, Vicks Vaporub around the eye, and a cool washcloth on top. Irritation would be gone the next morning.

gckid 05-26-2011 08:06 PM

vick salve rub a little below each eye and it will help so you can sleep. It should clear up the next day

gckid 05-26-2011 08:10 PM

vick salve. rub under each eye. do not get in eye, but will relieve the burnt eye pain
