3 weeks ago we were drifting and this boat came flying across behind us about 100 yards, buddy and I looked at each other and I was sorta pizzed, about 30 minutes later they pass us up this time about 60 yards I threw my hands up in the air, and they slowed down....and headed right for us:shaking: I was thinking hell here comes a fight there were 4 of them and 2 of us:eek: These guys were in daddy's boat and couldn't have been over 15 or 16 and they calmly came over (motor running) and ask us where some barge was or something? Gained my composure and told them we did not know where a barge was, but they need to watch out for people drift fishing and respect them. They had no clue they were doing anything wrong. We told them that lucky they ran across us and not someone else who may not have been so polite! Totally clueless, so maybe that will help them out in the future, some people have just never been taught etiquette. Many many many bass fishermen could use some etiquette training as well:D Give a man a fish...teach...awe heck they are all potlickers! I do think someone was messing with them about this barge though

I saw the same setup get stuck on the reef on the back side of turners last year. Dude was hammering the throttle trying to get off. Idiot...

Very few things can piss me off worse on the water than some jack a-- cutting you off. Especially when your on fish.

How come I can ever have this happen,,,, it would of been on!!!

boatdriver 06-05-2011 06:47 PM

I know why we don't have guns on boats...there would either be dead bodies or some motors with holes in their blocks. The yonks today were just as bad. Unless you are on a good school of fish, on anchor, someone else cannot catch those same fish. Those aren't the only feeding fish in the lake. But, they find it necessary to try and catch your fish. It ain't gonna happen. and why in the hell would you want to watch someone else catch em?

Where were u at Bruce? I think I know this person you speak of. If it's the right one I'm gonna have to mess with him and tell him he's a moron. I know he knows better.

1 of the guys on the boat had a fish in the 11 to 20 place spots. I think it was about 4 1/2lbs.

We got into it Sat with a crab boat. They almost cut our anchor line. A-hole. We told him we were going to cut his floats off. (we didn't though)
