I have been reading this site for a couple of months or so, and I just want a bit of clarification here. Is the point of this thread that interpersonal insults have gotten out of hand, but that it's ok for posters to compare the president of the United States to "hitller," as is happening at the moment on another thread? Am I to assume that the businesses who sponsor this site are aware of the level of racism and stupidity of nearly inconceivable magnitude that routinely appear on this site and deliberately choose to subsidize it?

Really? The point of this clean up is to quit the bashing of one another here on the site and becoming confrontational with others and having a public argument on the main message board. Now if you dont like the threads that talk about what you call our "President" dont read them, we as americans have a right to voice our opinion on politics and what not.

My advice to you is just keep reading and leave the posting to the guys that do. There is a lot of helpful info on this site and a lot of guys on here that will go out there way to help you out in any way they can, and for you to make one post saying we are racial and stupid people because of our opinion on this idiot in offices views pffft please man spare us the BS.
I would like to also see were that Hank Williams Jr. thread got racial . . . . . never said any thing about whites, blacks, jews, chineese, japanese, caucasian, or germans as a race.

Does the Bill of Rights entitle us to have our own opinion and the ability to present it? Yes! Does ckinchen want the personal attacks on other members to stop? Yes! Is president Barack Obama worse than Carter? YES! Just because you don't agree with the majority of posters here regarding the president, that does not make us Racist. He draws flak from bad policies. Funny how you liberals get butt hurt when conservatives paint a negative image of obama, but you are so quick to forget all the personal attacks on Bush. And how is comparing Obama to Hitler racist?? Please, do fill me in. And if you read the hank williams link, you would see he is comparing obama meeting with boener to hitler meeting with pres of israel. It represents two completely different views meeting together. Obama hates conservatism like Hitler hated the jews. I see no racism there.

I appreciate your post and welcome to the site. Certainly we would have deleted any post that contained racial comments or slurs. Your definition of what is offensive may very well be different than ours, judgment certainly comes into play.

Please understand moderating a public internet site is very difficult. We can destroy this site if we over-moderate it. Over moderation will cause our members to leave and kill the great conversations that sometimes take place on this site. Things have gone too far lately with personal attacks and threads being taken over and we are watching the content of our thread much more closely than we have in the past.

If you are anyone finds a thread or post to be offensive I encourage you to use the triangle button in the upper right hand corner of each post which will report the post to all three moderators and myself for our review and consideration.

I wasn't thinking that comparing Obama to Hitler was racist, exactly, but rather of the racist remarks that appear so often on this site that the FAQ, rather amusingly, points out that they are not to be tolerated. I find this amusing because I have seen no evidence of moderation in this regard, and I wonder what the threshold of intolerability must be.

If you think that Obama, a right-leaning centrist president, hates conservatism as much as Hitler hated the Jews, why don't you spend a few minutes reviewing the history of Germany between 1933-1945? Compare your personal situation to that of European Jews during the period. See if you can then figure out why this comparison is a fine example of the stupidity I mentioned above.

Obama hates the fact conservatives don't want to fund his BS. All the bailout packages, stimulus, entitlement programs...and you wonder why the common working man on here is frustrated!! Obama wants to spend, spend, spend and Hitler wanted to kill, kill, kill. So, in effect, Obama is killing our wallets!!
