I have a lot of miscellaneous baits that I wanted to use to put together a tackle box for a young kid, so if that can be used for this effort (once families are known) please let me know.

Sorry Jordan, but you don't qualify!

We'll sure take some of that for our east side family! The 3 kids that are with this family LOVE to hunt and fish! Sadly, right now, it's a means of survival!

Eman, you have yourself a deal and, I cannot thank you enough for your generosity!!!

Let's make this a memorable Christmas for some great families!!!!

I've got to figure out a way but, we will get some sizes on the kids soon.

southern151 11-11-2011 09:18 AM

Can we make this a sticky? I know we have a ways to go before Christmas but, I'd really rather not try to cram everything in in the last few days. C'mon guys, let's do this!

ckinchen 11-12-2011 01:35 PM

If any of your are having problems with Corey's paypal account you can send it to mine ckinchen@mkacpas.com just put what this is for (Christmas Donation) in the description so I can get the money over to Corey.

Here's a quick update...

JDM4X43237 is currently utilizing some of his resources to help locate a family on the west side of things. Also, I have had a few folks ask how to make contributions without Paypal so, PM me and I'll get you my home address. We still need a LOT of help guys! From shopping for families, locating them, to delivering their Christmas, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!

As Chicken has mentioned before, we will be shutting this down on the 15th of December so that we have time to get everything put together. I understand times are tight but, regardless of contribution size, it will be greatly appreciated! Also, if anyone has any questions about this...any sort of question at all, feel free to call me at the shop 225-647-2772 or on my cell 580-716-4995. I look forward to hearing from you with questions or concerns.

Thanks,

Corey Fisher

Donation

Well guys I went out and about today hit up a few local businesses and managed to score us two 25 lb bags of rice and a cash donation to be picked up in the next few weeks. Got a few toys donated. Also picked up a some cash donations from a few individuals. Like Corey said any contribution you can make or if you could help us in putting this together it will go a long way for the families. Anyone in the Crowley area that would like to make a donation can do so at Gail's Gifts on HWY 90 / 2ND ST. We will have a drop box set up soon.

Thanks so much for helping out with this, Johnny!

jdm4x43732 11-14-2011 04:48 PM

Well here is another update. We didn't have room for a drop box in front of the store. The wife is making a sign to put on the door and she can hold items in her office, floor space is cramped in the shop. Come on guys we need to do this BIG!!!

southern151 11-16-2011 08:15 PM

Bump.

ckinchen 11-16-2011 11:26 PM

As of today our total funds raised is $100. Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

jdm4x43732 11-17-2011 01:28 PM

Casey you can add another $250 to that amount, I will be going collect it when I get in next hitch along with the 50 lbs of rice that were donated. I'm waiting to hear back from a few other guys who were trying to rustle up a few donations. Come on guys we are going to need some help to make this happen, we have 8 children between the two families who without a little help will have little or no Christmas this year.

southern151 11-17-2011 06:30 PM

I just got off the phone with a person who would like to remain anonymous and they have promised a donation of $1000.00 to be paid in early December!!!! I'm very proud of this person and honored to be a friend to them!

That being said, we have 8 kids and 4 adults to tend to this year. WE STILL NEED HELP! I understand if you can't help in the finance dept. I'm not asking to let your own do without so that others can have. We still need help with shopping and delivery. C'mon guys, where's the SC spirit I have become so fond of?!

jdm4x43732 11-17-2011 06:31 PM

Just scored a $100.00 donation of groceries to help furnish the families with. Hustling yo!! I'm looking for a Wii or similar game console for the west side family. If someone has one laying around in good shape that you could donate or sell to us, the "West Side" kids have been wanting one.

Way to go Corey on the big donation. This will go a long way!!!
