Willie told us he grew up wearing hand me downs but all he had was sisters.....true statement. Ask him about it tomorrow on the domino people.

Haha for sure. I'll use that right after I whip him again this week.

What that thing run ya? I spent an hour last trip to Cabalas looking at crossbows. I think I'd rather that than a standard bow. Folks got thoughts on that?

Dude when you get a shot at your first deer with it, you will be hooked! Just seeing deer while bow hunting is a totally different experience than with a gun IMO. I made up my mind that this coming season I will attempt to bow hunt only now that I've been able to do some good scouting on the lease.

I was the same way til I bought my compound. To me, shooting a crossbow is just shooting a funny looking gun. I say if you can shoot a compound, get a compound.

crossbow is much easier but for me the whole reason i bow hunt is for the thrill and challenge. something about a deer at 20 yds trying to hold back on a bow and not spook it. gets my blood pumping

$1500 for the whole set up that I purchased. I got a Cadillac bow with all the bells and whistles.

But there are much more affordable models, I just bought what I wanted.

No argument on cross bows but I would like to travel to other states for bow hunting where cross bows are not allowed.

Craig, holla if I can help. Been bow hunting 30 or so years. No expert by any means, but o do see deer fairly regularly.

Hope to make a trip to Tensas between Christmas and new years. This is usually the rut there if you or anyone else is interested
