Majek question

Does anyone know the width of console on 25 majek???

Use your head

You don't bring a Bass Rod to fish for Marlin, So why would you buy a Shallow water Boat, built STRICTLY for shallow water, and want to go fishing in BRETON SOUND

I
I can tell you this, not only would BRETON SOUND beat the nails out of your boat, but let a fast outgoing tide hit while your trying to come back in through the shallow passes and see the 3ft to 4ft waves it creates, and that Majek will need a LIFE JACKET

Breton sound is nothing compared to BIG lake.

Wasn't comparing Breton Sound to Big Lake. The original post, the man asked a question about bringing a Majek into Breton Sound.

So I used the analogy of trying to Marlin Fish with a bass rod.

But yes big lake does get very very rough. I should know, I was born and raised in Lake Charles and been fishing big lake since oh 1972.

My point with Breton Sound, is are very very Shallow paths to get to the sound, and when the tide moves out, it can move in a hurry, and causes some rough water in SHALLOW areas. The Majek would have a hard time.

Majek is a great boat, but only intended for Marshy shallow areas.

HAH,

LETS GO OLD SCHOOL TO THE ORIGINAL BAY BOAT OG GANGSTA, the Terry Shaunesy specials.

BAY HAWK. Many of them still around. LOL, just a little bit of new marine plywood in the floor and on the transom. Will go another 100000 hours.

You aren't going to get a triton half the places you'll get a majek. If you want to fish the marsh at all, i would say no to triton. A majek will make it through 2-3's just fine. Ride won't be as good as a triton, but it will handle it fine. Going with a triton will eliminate some of your marsh fishing, but a majek won't limit your big water abilities.

You need a haynie. Its the best of both of those combined.

Jbourgeois1 10-26-2015 07:29 PM

The solid truth about a majek is the faster you go the better it rides.. Simple as that
