Louisiana still give away 21' boats? I'd figure by this year the largest they'd give out, even for overall winner, would be a 19' nautic rg w/ a 70hp suzuki.

And for 1st tagged red, winner would get a stripped down single cab chevy?

I know. Just like the shoot out. They used to give a 18' Kenner and 50-11 door prizes. Now they have more people fishing it than ever and they give 5000 and a pack of gulp.

My point exactly!!

I've been *****ing about this since they changed it! Makes no sense at all. Texas grows and gives out killer packages and LA does the minimum while pocketing the rest!

He'll they even use to give away for boats for 2 splits

That's 1 less boat while having a smaller organization and the winning package loaded out champion w 200
And rest were 21's w 150s

Now it's a dingy w a trolling motor
Lol

22 Cat is $35+ used with 200 on it, not sure about the V. They are sweet boats. Fished one a while back and probably fish in it again this Friday.

I won a Nautic Star in 2004, it was the runner up boat back when they would give a boat per month for the Largest Trout. If I remember right none of the boats were actually purchased by CCA. I remember I had to go to 3 different dealers to pick up paperwork for tax purposes. One place had donated the trailer, the other places the boat and one the motor. Everything was donated to CCA. Is it still the same today? Is CCA purchasing the prize packages or are they still being donated? If is being donated they can only award what is being given to them.

T-TOP 05-22-2013 10:14 AM

Maybe the CCA guys in La could get some tips from the guys in Tx....
I looked at the Texas Star tourn last year, it was ridiculous the difference between the two tournaments

Texas boat dealers probably willing to donate more than the La dealers.. More money in Texas?

My guess would be more members and more money!

Is Texas broken up into divisions also?

T-TOP 05-22-2013 11:11 AM
