I have to imagine that one must sell a ton of fishing gear to cover the overhead... Hope everyone gets made "right" after all the smoke clears...

Is the only info available the fact that they closed?

If so, Something else is going on IMO. Typically places with inventory like that don't just close the doors without liquidation of some sort, or an attempt to liquidate. Either way, there would have been rumblings of their situation amongst their loyal customers and it would have leaked.

they did not liquidate down before closing. no information was given out, just a quick hard decision. He had someone interested in most of the inventory and I believe is looking for a few others. Just closed doors and got out before the start of a new month and new round of bills.

He did not even tell his only employee. OB received a text message around 11 at night to not come into work. I find that weird. At least call or have a meeting.

Gulf Coast Tackle did the same thing when they closed down. Just packed up a truck in the middle of the night and left.
