good looking ride. One day we need to make a trip

Artifishual 11-20-2009 07:39 PM

I'll admit it's a good looking boat, with the exception of that black anchor hanging off the back!! LOL

I ran a black 200 HP motor for 14 years with only 3 minor issues.
Would still be if it wasn't for Hurricane Rita.

Reel Bender 11-20-2009 07:59 PM

I know a guy that had one of those black motors and he abused it, only problem he had was lower unit from ABUSING it!!

Ray 11-20-2009 08:06 PM

I was told that the lower units on the big Merc's wouldn't last long.
Mine lasted the life of the motor. No issues with it.
I had trouble with the trigger ring, a power pack and the oil injector pump.
Not bad for 14 years.
I mostly fished offshore, backed off the trailer and put in forward gear and
stayed that way for hours. Not much shifting. Mostly high speed, or trolling.

The first time I was in that boat he wanted to explore, we got in some of the lakes and kinda got stuck. He just nailed it and would let the oyster shell fly!!!!!!!

flounder_smacker 11-20-2009 09:45 PM

what were you smokin when you mounted the anchor light on the cowling?

shellman 11-20-2009 10:13 PM
