Where can I get a boga?

exspeck big specks 05-28-2009 09:03 AM

I got mine in Lake Charles Tackle 3-4 years ago. I bought mine originally for setting drags on our Penn 80's and 130's- awesome tool, I think it has a lifetime warranty.

The 15lb or the 30lb model one.

SULPHITE 05-28-2009 09:27 AM

I've got the 15lb love it...that is a great price on that website!! Wish I would've known about it before I got mine!

LaAngler 05-28-2009 09:49 AM

15 is what most use for specks/reds

the 30 would be great for snapper

i'm thinking of ordering a pack of those plumtreuse devil eye lures from hookset.

SULPHITE 05-28-2009 10:10 AM

brown lures

LA i believe they have those at Gulf Coast Tackle in LC...if your over this way.

"someone needs to buy ol Dale a reliable scale. No reason to kill both those fish. Killed a future 9 pounder. Congrats to him on the 8.25! Hell of a day on the water. "

What if he caught the #2 fish first, then caught the #1 fish? That would explain why he has both fish on the board. Just speculation, I don't know how it actually happened.

big fish 5+ years produce less eggs than a 1-2 year old trout anyways..soo y not throw back the dinks and keep the bigg ones.

cmdrost 07-08-2009 12:48 PM

ummmm.....not really true. Big fish do produce less often, but quanity is much greater in a big fish vs the dinks.

I'll keep the dinks and throw back anything 5 +

To each their own.

have u read trout masters yet??..it explains it all in there...plus small fish in the 1-2 year range produce up to 10 times more eggs during a spawn as fish in the 5-6 year range...

Hopedale Hustler 07-08-2009 01:03 PM

i mean no one will ever stop arguing this soo who cares...i throw back most all 12-13 inch fish i catch u throw back the big ones..oh well we both conserving ya know...i keep mah trophys just the way it is gonna be..i was a big trout throw backer until i started to acctually catch Sow trout...then i realized the facts...if i gotta keep the small ones so be it..but i try not to..which aint usually a problem at this time over here in the bretton sound...but thats the way it goes.
