how do you de-slime gafftops so your ice chest isn't a snotty mess?

Lots of cube ice. Sloshing around in the ice and water mix de-slimes them. The catfish can be cleaned easily because all the slime is off and the ice chests rinse right out.

No need to separate from other fish, just lots of ice.

do you skin the catfish before filleting them or fillet them then cut the fillet off of the skin like with other fish? I hear people claim to do it both ways so which is the better simpler method?

I always thought the soft skin of a catfish wouldn't be easy to cut off of the fillet.

I dunno what licking one is supposed to do but I guess idiots can get "buzzed" with the poison by getting stuck by em on purpose :spineyes:
