I'd def be down to judge this event! I can't compete since I use jar roux!
|
The judges shouldn't know who cooked the gumbo. Just give them a bowl with a number on the bottom. The vote for the bowl number they like best. Simple...just like bbq cook offs do it
|
Maybe we can get it rolling by making it a charity event, entry fees go to a specific charity

Hey guys, That was me with the brewery next door. Let me chat with the owner and see what his involvement may be.
I also have 2 boys ramping up soccer, so I need to look at their schedule for open dates. I too am running a company, directly affiliated to the oilfield.....things getting a bit hairy. In H-town right now, try to get back with dates soon. We don't have to have it at my place if dates don't match, but this does need to happen! RC |

Depending on where and when I can judge it for yall. I have 26 years experience as a chef. I have a culinary degree from New England Culinary Institute. I have worked for Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, Harrah's in Lake Charles, and Lauberge. I have won the Wild Game Gumbo professional division at Mardi Gras Gumbo cook off in Lake Charles. I also won the BBQ cook off at Contraband days in ribs 2 years in a row and wild game and seafood divisions one year on the Harrah's team. I am from the Welsh Lake Arthur area so I am a local boy. I have cooked more gumbos in 90 gallon pots in a year than most of yall will ever cook in a life time....lol. If yall want a non bias judge that knows gumbo let me know.

Boom!...we got us a judge
