Fords v6 3.5 and 3.7 have outsold the 5.0 this year. I have both eco boost and 5.0. Heavy loads the eco will output the 5.0. Other than that not much differnce. If you have a heavy foot the ecoboost will drink more fuel. I have 66000 miles on ecoboost and has never had a problem, the 5.0 has 90000 miles and never had a problem either.

I had a 2012 F-150 with the Ecoboost. Just traded it in 2 months ago, never had any issues at all. The only reason i traded it in was due to the size of the camper we were buying I switched to the a diesel.

Love my ecoboost. Fuel mileage isn't what they claim but if you drive like a Grandma it's great.
90k changed one coil pack.

5.o or tundra 5.7...ford would do better fuel econo. And tundra 5.7 towing...

Honest question here...

Who are you insured with and, did your rates move in either direction?

I ask because, in the collision industry, this is a major debate and, this vehicle has cost us tens of thousands already. The industry is trying to pinpoint the additional expenses on the consumer. It has been documented that identical repairs on a 2014 F150 are approx. 28% less than they are on the 2015.

If you don't wish to post this information publicly, I do hope you'd be willing to do so in a PM.

Thanks for your time,
Corey Fisher

Farm Bureau, no idea if it affected my rates. I will let you know

Thank you much, sir! By the way, you have the best insurance group there is in this region.

Don't fall for those $xxxx dollars off msrp crap. Only one way to buy any vehicle. Take the window sticker and build their truck on nada or edumonds. Get the exact msrp to make sure all options are selected. Take the invoice price and subtract rebates. A good deal is 500 or less above invoice minus rebates. Do not fall into being a payment buyer.

Congrats on the new truck. That's a sharp looking ride! I love that color combo.

Congrats. Been having mine for 2-3 months. My first 6 cylinder truck ever. Love it!! I especially love the 35 gallon fuel tank!! All my last trucks with these tiny fuel tanks drove me nuts!

Specktator...Sweet Truck.... I have owned and drove the F150's for the last twenty years...all have been very dependable trucks...Went to the F250 this year due to amount of weight I have to haul around for weekend fun...

Sorry, I'd have to disagree on the service part. I'll never take my any one of my 3 Fords back to them. I live in NI and I take my vehicles all the way to HUB City. Thats an unbiased comment based on own experience.

Wow, I have a close friend that raves about Arcenaeux. I was thinking of bringing my truck into them.

Traded in 2013 Tundra supercrew La. Edition 2wd 4.6 liter 310 hp for the Ford 150 4x4 supercrew 3.5 liter with ecoboost & 365 hp. there is no comparison on gas mileage, Ford is @ 3.8 mpg better overall
