Guys.. Its not about anything other than 2 boys are missing...I grow at Cy Pt. I was running the cove, weeks bay, and shark bayou in a 14' cypress flat with a 3 hp johnson since I was 7...My dad could keep us out of the water.. We'd swimm off the dock and pier until way pass dark sometimes..
We always had some times a doz kids at the camp... Lots of times me and my younger bro would forget the extra 1 gal gas can.. we always had a paddle and life jackets. If we were not back at the camp for dark we were in trouble. Boat got taken away... Some of my best child hood memories were in that old azz leaking flat. Most cajun boys my age who grow up at the PT can say the same think... This is a tragedy period... Hope they find these young boys.. |
There were reports on another board from a 34ft center console that said waves were stacked tight 5-6 foot high and they where taking on the occasional wave, I couldn't imagine a 19ft boat in the same conditions.
With all the eyes on the water and no reports of the cooler or life jackets being found, there is hope. |
Nevermind. Thought I saw an article on their rescue, was from another lost at sea.
