finally my wife helped put the pictures on for me on here. so here ya'll go that is what I'm dealing with here...

fishfighter 10-31-2015 01:15 PM

Ok then let your wife go measure the transom if she is the smart one, hahahaha

fishfighter 10-31-2015 01:25 PM

Just messing with you on that last one, i dont believe that a 75hp motor is made with a 25" shaft only 20" so i would say you are good to go with your 90

fishingonewild 10-31-2015 02:15 PM

fish fighter good one got me laughing and i even asked her her reply was that is ur business to deal with. also i hope ur right that my 90 hp 20 inch shaft is good to go on this boat but will try to get some free time someday since i have three kids to keep company. just hoping there some answers on this type of boat and its depth is good for a 20 inch shaft. what if i had a 19 foot blue wave or 20 foot wud that make it to the point of where A 25 inch shaft come in or it depend on the bay boats itself with their v bottoms.... cux from what i sent with the pictures it doesn't seem to be a deep v on the back end.

fishfighter 10-31-2015 02:18 PM

25" shaft is usually on really big boats or catamarans

fishingonewild 10-31-2015 02:19 PM

because this is my first bay boat i have owned. i always had bass boat. so i am learning more and more with a bay boat cux its very different from a bass boat as we all know. so this part is the biggest part I'm learning now since i have some negatives and positive comments with putting my motor on or that my motor isn't long enuf to use on this boat. just trying to do the right thing once than spending money and end up it doesn't work that way or etc.

Sorry guys, I have been at a retreat all weekend. It looks like you will be good from your pics. If you are not too fat from Broussard, Send me a PM and I can go take a look at it with ya to be absolutely sure.

Juciy 11-01-2015 04:49 PM

The boat is made for a 20" shaft.

Actually so you don't think I'm condemning you my boat is rated for a 60 HP....I have a 70 HP...on it...I inquired to wlf years ago and they didn't care....Federal waters will ticket you for over HP...Coast gaurd will ticket you for over HP...Now from what I understand WLF will ticket you for over HP...If there is a boating accident and you are over HP. you will be at fault.....Not condemning you...I was told the manufacturer rates the boats and if they rate them lower the motor is cheaper so sale price is lower....

fishingonewild 11-01-2015 07:07 PM

Lil bubba ur not condemning me at all there a reason why we have this website to help out one another and I'm glad u explained that to me very clearly cux I was pretty sure I Wundt have any trouble by the wlf but wasn't sure how it worked by coast guard but glad I ain't gonna be on federal water . Mostly in bay and marsh also in spillway for freshwater fishing.

fishingonewild 11-01-2015 07:08 PM

Juicy is that right and can I ask how sud u know for a fact ? Did u have a boat like mine or what?

Wish I was fishing it's not a plm at all we all have a life beside being on here at all times and how was the retreat? Also yea I may will pm ya to have ya come check it out but I'm hoping I can get my buddy with his big jack to pick up my motor which is on a horse stand at the moment so I'm hoping nothing will stop me from putting it on this Saturday . From there sud be able to line it up and see for sure that its ok with a 20 inch shaft.

Retreat was great. Main theme was stepping up as the man, leader of the household and being a Godly man. Isolated some areas where I have been lacking, and have the tools to fix.

Understand with the motor and...just sayin...wouldn't be the first time a group had to man handle a 300lb motor on to a transom. Holla, I looking forward to it.

Good luck with the install and don't forget about the trailer jack. You prob already know but you can manipulate the transom height during the install with your trailer jack or lowering tire pressure.
