Rainy days aren't the best for marsh hunting.

I know we haven't heard many shots since the split open and I've been down there almost everyday

From the reports I have been reading on here for the last month, it sounds like no days are good for the marsh. I have shot a few woodies in some backwater off the Sabine River. I never have a problem finding woodies on the river but I do miss the days of smokin' the ducks in the marsh....

We sure are not smokin them in the rice fields either!!! Trust me, some people are killing birds. As stated, the only person I know killing ducks on a consistant basis is my father in laws buddy in PI! Also, sucks that we have too much fresh water....connot even spec fish!:cry:

pecan island is doing well, i am prolly going on a hunt down there monday i just found out.

they have been killing mostly mallards and gray ducks

My neighbor did good in P.I. opening weekend of the second split.
