I haven't heard anything, I'll try to find out something tomorrow.

Montauk17 05-13-2010 10:51 PM

Was that call from me? :DThey declared a state of emergency in vermillion, iberia, and st mary parish. There trying to get the booms set up and protect the bays and hopefully marsh island coastline to sw pass. I heard that the booms will be placed hopefully tomorrow into the weekend. The oil is heading that way fast with the strong southeast winds. Whiskey island south of cocodrie already has signs of oil.

at least by august it will.............

well you know the drill

Ray 05-13-2010 10:56 PM

The booms won't do much good if the winds don't die down.
I saw a buttload of unconnected boom all along the bank in East Bay on Tuesday.

I agree, but it will slow it down some. I was hopeful the oil would not reach my home waters. Big lake from here on out....let the madhouse potlicking begin.

Montauk17 05-13-2010 11:04 PM

I just hope we dont get any hurricanes this year, that could get really nasty. Hey Catdaddy, did you deplete the shrimp population before the oil hits? :)

justwant2fish 05-14-2010 08:53 PM

Fishinpox...we gonna hit timbalier bay area depending on wind. Might go fornation or backside grande isle. Everything depends on wind . They opened most of our area back up .

Dink 05-14-2010 09:39 PM
