Good Offshore Capt. Venice
 

I went with Capt Hunter Cabelero last summer out of Venice. Very good trip, very good capt, who now has a very fast boat. 32 Twin Vee with the new Yam 350's = short ride to the floaters. :churn:

I have a good friend who works with him, let me know if yall need some help booking.

I'll make some calls tomorrow for a tuna trip and see what's available for the weekends following the 4th.. I'll post some figures also. Stealth, I'll give you a ring tomorrow.

Speckdaddy made a suggestion about making a trip to the Chandaleur Islands, it sounds good to me. Anybody like the idea?

Stealth, does Hunter do a basic rig fishing trip? I'm not opposed to blue water trip but it will probably be more expensive. What does everyone want to catch....maybe we need to plan two different types of fishing.

1200 plus gas for bluewater 6 max..not sure what difference is for drop fishing. I've got a condo on bourbon so i'll probably lay my head there after the trip.

Hunter does do a basic rig fishing trip, but I think taking a charter out of venice for a bottom trip is kinda a waste. Your so close to great fishing;might as well enjoy it. Snapper and Ling are Good, but Tuna and Wahoo is the bomb..

right now the rip is 120 miles out so you may want to postpone your idea for at least a few weeks you should go on a night trip if you want tuna right now...

Yeah....I thought it died off but if anyone is interested pm me and i can put something together for us. I've got a trip lined up in 2 weeks but its with a group of buddies. I can get another one together. I could spend every weekend out there....hell, i wish i could buy my own rig and turn it into a camp! HAHA

I have a 21' bay boat to run to some close platforms out of cameron when it's calm. Anyone got GPS coordinates for some platforms?

I got the 13'6 whaler available for an offshore trip...................Plan on hittin the Lump in it once it turns on again.........may be years............
