I used to like to smoke after I ate just relaxing. Now, with three kids and one on the way the only time to relax is to sit on the can! What kileed me with the smoking was on the road so much!

some of the guys i worked with off shore kept dumdum suckers in their shirt pocket, they said reachin up was habbit and at least somthin was there to grab and put in their mouth

Salty 05-31-2011 10:35 PM

My wife keeps tellin' me that the best way to quit is "cold turkey". This is from someone that has never had any tobacco in her mouth.

jchief 06-01-2011 05:07 AM

I used peppermints, 2 5lb bags from Sams.

Worked.

Of course watching my Dad die from lung cancer was an incentive also.

DAY 4 Ya Heardz !!!

Salty 06-02-2011 08:21 PM

My neighbor told me today that there's another cig bill on Jindal's desk. If he signs it....it's gonna add a dollar a pack. If the lil bastid signs it...he ain't gettin' no votes from my house.

mcjaredsandwich 06-11-2011 01:24 PM

Not smoke free yet, but have not had a dip in 5 weeks. I figure it is a start.

I just started so I can have a Godchild. These sunflower seeds are addicting just as badly, but BBQ tastes so much better now.

He veto'd it..he is holding the no tax line! though he comes off as a dork in some situations..I like Jindal.. and I think he is one of the best La. Governors we ever had.

Great job. I haven't smoked in 10 years, but I still want one when I drink

Micah 06-19-2011 03:04 PM

5 or 6 weeks now without a dip!!!!! Had been dipping for almost 11 years. Never thought I could do it but surprisingly it was easier than I thought after a couple weeks. I can drink beer or eat and even go fishing and not get the "itch". Very glad I did it!!!! Congrats to all on quitting.
