How is a Big Lake fishing report gonna spur interest in SaltyCajun.com from the east side of the state? :confused:

I've already had that conversation and given advise on the matter.....it'll be handled by the next show I'm sure

And the interstate will be flooded with people from Baton Rouge east bustin' their azz to get to Lake Charles. :rolleyes: Why not hang a billboard at the Texas/Louisiana state line advertisin' Lake Pontchartrain fishin'? I'm sure they will come. :cool:

It's all about getting your name out. Also we will have a commercial that runs on his show that will not say one word about big lake.

You are right. It's marketing 101 really. If you have something enticing to go along with an ad, people are more likely to remember you.

Now, that being said, I highly doubt that there will be flocks of "pilgrims" headed that way due to a fishing report. We have plenty of water to fish here.:work:

Every week should be a report from a different part of the state. Saltycajun is being labeled a "big lake" website. Gotta make it statewide

Yea but there isn’t much on the report from the west side of the state so it fills a need. I do the "paddlers report" on Don’s show (around 6:20am) and try to mention hot spots from the east side to the west. This week I’ll be calling in from on the water at Big Lake, can’t wait. The show reaches pretty far, I have met people who have heard the reports out in Alabama even.

Agreed. And you don't do it with Big Lake fishing reports to this side of the state. People here already know that that little place already has more traffic than it can handle. They must be readin' SaltyCajun.com.

I totally understand that, but, wouldn't it make more "cents" to post reports from an area within a 100 mile radius? :confused:

Guys they have all of the reports they want already from the rest of the state. This report is west Louisiana not just big lake. This report fills a need and it gets our name out. I can offer a report on say Grand Isle but they already have guides reporting from this area, why would they need me?

Couple of boys over this way heard the report and lit out for Big Lake. They're probably halfway there by now. :rolleyes: :smokin:

We have a lot of guys who listen to Don here on the west side.....Lake Charles 1400 AM....I listen in my boat when fishing on Sat...May be someone else needed that report from Big lake:confused::confused:
