I hit 7 nights then 7 days at work, then 14 days home.
Going home tomorrow. If you think these winds are bad,
wait till I get home.

some guys I work with are gettin ready to head to CO to elk hunt

Gerald 10-10-2011 03:03 PM

I was out fishing one day last week and the wind was blowing so hard it was hard for 2 of us to stand up on the front deck of a 22' bay boat. We were catching nice trout with topwater baits. Most of the time we could not see the bait....but could see the fish splash when they hit the bait.... it was crazy.

yea except we stay in a hotel. :smokin:

hadabite 10-10-2011 09:05 PM

really cant beat it this way. Public land, being in the mountains, its not a for sure kill but if you put the time in most likely you will have a shot on something. and its all for about $1200. thats gas, hotel, tags, and food. its worth that much just to go to the mountains. Love it up there.

weedeater 10-10-2011 09:47 PM

there are some guys from here goin to same area but staying in mountians, my faimly bow hunts east of pagosa springs
