All I know is my kids love the show so I play on the laptop and do paperwork while it is on. It's alot better than most other crap on TV for kids to watch. I especially like watch the marshes or Pecan Island since I worked cows in that crap as a kid.

With that said, "Big Foot" sure needs some work on them feet!!! That's just nasty!

DUCKGOGETTER 02-15-2013 09:44 AM

I know it's staged, but i love the show. I really wish tommy and joe were on it, cause i'm not to fond of them boys from texas

I know the guy who armwrestled him on the show from the first season. He had to lose on purpose. Says he beat him plenty of times before. He was pretty bad back in the day though. Broke his arm doing it so he doesnt arm wrestle much anymore.

I remeber reading the article of joe getting arrested, and i think it was the producer of the show said they didnt like that kind of attention or whatever towards the show. It was worded much better than that i just butcher everything up.....

One of them is a Broussard, so maybe not both of them are from Texas! Just a thought.

DUCKGOGETTER 02-15-2013 03:35 PM

I liked it how troy and his son acted like they didn't know the guys from texas were hunting gators there. Didn't troy actually come up with the show?

evidrine 02-15-2013 03:37 PM

A local game warden referred Troy Landry to the History channel when they were looking for people to be on the show.

okay my brother-n-law works with a guy that is best freinds with jacob, and he said that troy has his hands in all kinds of things regarding crawfish and fish market. He also said that troy has some serious cash.

OhSoEasy 02-15-2013 04:53 PM

Troy is supposed to be the biggest crawfish seller in Louisiana. He was definitely a millionaire before swamp people came to be.

Cant stand wrestleing. Never have, never will.

Montauk17 02-18-2013 04:33 PM

I hate wrestling but comparing to two is not equal IMO. It is a good show even though it is staged.

jdm4x43732 02-18-2013 07:20 PM

I talked to a dude who lives near Ax men Shelby. Said he is surely crazy but he also likes to go FAST and that takes it to another level .

Producers realized Louisiana couldn't cut it on their own and had to get a lil assistance from the state that knows how to get things done. The show will probably run longer than Seinfeld or cheers ever did now. :)

True and cool story:smokin::

couple weeks back we took some folks riding in the basin, they were in town for one day and wanted to see what it was all about. We put in at Jack Miller's and went riding. It was cold as heck and misting rain. We were all bundled up and were way back in the middle of nowhere and see a boat coming thru the brush and it was ol Willie:rotfl:. He had been deer hunting. We talked to him for a second and he had all his teeth even. The people with us you would have though they had seen Elvis Presley they were so excited

cool story I know:grinpimp:

Went on a mule deer hunt in Utah a few years ago. My guide started asking me about Swamp People. I told him I had met Liz a few times before, he thought that was the coolest thing ever. Called his kids while I was with him so I could tell them about her. My duck camp is in Pecan Island. Dude I lease it from said a few summers ago a family drove down there in an RV from Canada looking for Liz. Wanted his kids to meet her. Now that's crazy. People from north of here love dem coonasses!

Sightwindow 02-19-2013 11:54 AM

Saw Liz and her husband yesterday at Bayou Black marina in Gibson. Extremely nice couple, helped us tinker with a broken Pro Drive. We had to chase them outta there or they'd have spent the whole day trying to help us. First class people.

Her cameraman stayed in the camp next door to mine during gator/teal season. She would pick him up every morning and drop him every afternoon. Very nice lady. One night we got to the camp late(12am). My boy wanted to crank his go devil make sure it was running ok. Camera man's wife comes running out screaming and cursing at us that she had a baby sleeping and her husband had to wake up early. She tried to complain to the guy that owns our camp. He told me, "I told that Yankee, this ain't downtown New Orleans!" LOL

Yea, its his dads name, but I'm pretty sure its his brothers place. I thought it might have been his dad's, but I was corrected.

drillem 02-19-2013 01:42 PM

yes

buoy37 02-22-2013 08:35 AM

I know the show is over edited/produced, but I still enjoy it. Willie is my favorite. Not a fan of the Texas guy. Bigfoot is cool, but the othe guy talks too much ***** about how good he is. He should let his actions do the talking.

I was shaking my head last night at the scene when Jr and Willie ran up the bank too far and the footage kept flipping between a boat with an Evinrude and a boat with a mud motor.

Keywest18 02-22-2013 09:16 AM

I noticed that too. It took me a minute to catch it. What i thought was funny was how jr had that big gator in the boat waiting on randy in the ice boat. Supposedly the gator was like 500lbs? Then the next scene it shows willie chunking it in the ice box like a sack of potatos.

Liz's Husband is a contractor that builds bridges, my father in law knows him pretty well from doing inspection work. They are both nice people and Liz actually cleans up well.

Goosepond Monster 03-01-2013 11:41 AM

I thought it was interesting that they showed the guys from northern Louisiana.

Is it true the gators are fewer, but bigger in the northern part of the state?

Dink 03-01-2013 11:46 AM
